Made from the autochtonous Xarel.lo grape variety. Grapes from 50-year old vines situated in Les Gunyoles d’Avinyonet. Grown bio-dynamically.
Harvest is manual into small boxes and immediate refrigeration. Fermentation in older oak for 7 months with some battonage and lees stirring.
Intense, golden colour. On the nose, pears, golden apples, pineapple and fennel. The wine is full-bodied with some minerality – a reflection of the old vineyards.
Slightly bitter on the finish – in a pleasant way. This is a character that assists to make this a great food accompaniment.
The wine has not been filtered or cold stabilised and may throw some tartrate crystals.
Enjoy at 6-8C.
