By selecting old vineyards from Valbuena de Duero, Mucientes and Pedrosa del Rey, we wanted to blend the wine diversity of the province of Valladolid into a wine that expresses delicacy and fruity freshness. La Provincia is fluid, fresh and fruity, with great balance and structure.
The grape varieties are 55% Tempranillo and 45% Grenache.
Tempranillo – The Tempranillo grapes come from vineyards located in the villages of Mucientes, Pedrosa del Rey and Valbuena de Duero.
Soil. Sand, limestone and clay, resting on clay and loam.
Year of planting: 1941
Yield. 3000 kg/ha
Soil. Sediments of sandstone, clay and Pliocene limestone. On the surface it is brown soil on unconsolidated material.
Year of planting: 1955
Yield. 3500 kg/ha
Soil. Layers of silty or clayey sands. Alternating layers of limestone and marl, as well as chalky concretions.
Year of plantation. 1945
Yield. 3000 kg/ha
Grenache – The Grenache grapes come from the same vineyard as the Tempranillo of Pedrosa del Rey.


Spontaneous alcoholic fermentation with controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks. One part of the malolactic fermentation takes place in
stainless steel, and the other part in French barrels.  After fermentation, the wine is aged for 11 months in French oak barrels of 225 and 500 litres.
Minimum ageing in bottle for 9 months.
